Pitteuchar Taekwondo Club is hosting the 1st Fife Taekwondo Group invitational competition of the 2010. The event takes place on Sunday 7th March 2010 at the Exit Centre, Glamis Centre, Glenrothes. Registration for competitors strats at 9:30am and the competition will begin at 10am.

All entry forms must be submitted to your club instructor prior to the event.

If any instructor from any other Taekwondo club outside the Fife Taekwondo Group would like an invite please contact Mr Fisher at fishertkd@googlemail.com for more info.

The adults class at the Exit Centre, Pitteuchar will start on March 29th 2010. The time for this class is 7.30pm to 8.45pm and the cost is £3.50.

Fife Taekwondo Group hosted the ITS Fight Night 2010 at the Rothes Halls on Saturday 13th February. The night was a huge sucess and the sold out 500 capacity crowd witnessed some exiting and action packed fights which concluded with the dramatic Scotland/England International team event.

I’d like to take this opportuntiy to thank all those associated with Fife Taekwondo Group who’s dedication and hardwork over the past year has allowed us to host the event.

The ITS Fight Night which takes place on Saturday 13th February, has now been sold out. Apologies to anyone who has not yet purchased a ticket.

Many thanks to all those that have bought tickets. Its is definately going to be an exciting and action packed night.

The long anticipated ITS Fight Night takes place this Saturday at Rothes Halls, Glenrothes.

The night is shaping up well, with almost all the spectator tickets sold and 34 fights taking place on the night.

Given the quick sale of the tickets, It is strongly advised that if anybody associated with Fife Taekwondo Group has not purchased a ticket yet that they do so as quickly as possible.

Could all competitors and officials please be at the venue for 5pm on Saturday as a quick briefing will take place to ensure that everybody is aware of the layout of the venue and the procedure on the night. All competitors must have the appropriate sparring equipment. If anybody does not have equipment please make sure you source a set from Woodside Taekwondo Club prior to the event.

The recent grading took place on Saturday 30th January. Once again the standard was very high and there was a Fife Taekwondo Group record of 73 students grading. The theory station went well again with every student passing the required knowledge test before grading.

There was a 100 percent pass rate at the grading, which given the high level of scrutiny is testament to the dedication and effort put in by every student.

Congratulations to all those that passed the grading!

There has been a slight change in the class times for Pitteuchar Club. The class is now split into two groups, like Woodside.

4 – 8 year olds: – 6pm to 6.45pm

8 – 15 year olds: – 6.45pm to 7.30pm

The adult class is currently suspended but will be starting back up in the near future.

The next grading will take place on Saturday 30th January 2010 at Markinch Memorial Hall, Betson Street, Markinch. All students selected to take part in the grading will be informed over the next couple of weeks. If you are unsure about the grading please speak to your club instructor who will keep you informed and give you any suitable advice.

On arriving at the venue please register and then attend at the theory station to be tested on your mandatory questions.

Rainbows (under 8yrs) 9am Registration 9:30 grading
White – green stripe 10am Registration – 10:30 grading
Green belt + above – 11am registration

A meeting has been arranged to take place at 7 pm on Wednesday 6th January 2010 at the Otters Head, Happer Crescent, Glenrothes. The meeting is open to all students/ parents or anyone else associated with Fife Taekwondo Group. The meeting is informal, with the aim being to update everyone with developments within the group and for anyone to raise any concerns or issues. Your attendance at the meeting would be greatly appreciated if you can make it.

The Fife Taekwondo Group Christmas Dance took place on Saturday 12th of December and it proved to be a great night for the large number of people that attended.

We would like to thank all those that contributed by attending, donating gifts and buying raffle tickets and would like to give special thanks to Wullie, Lynne and Evelyn for their hard work in making it such a special night.

A total of £475 was raised on the night.
